Solar & Battery Installation Goulburn
Goulburn City Electrical designs and installs grid-connected solar and battery systems across Goulburn and the Southern Tablelands. We are SAA (Solar Accreditation Australia) accredited designers and installers, and we only install world-leading brands: Tesla, Fronius, Sungrow and Sigenergy. We’re not the cheapest, but the people who quote your job are the people who install it. No out-of-town subcontractors.
Thinking about a battery? The federal battery rebate drops on 1 January 2027. See how the battery rebate works.
Solar Panel Installation
Our team has completed grid-connected solar and grid-connected battery storage training, and our SAA accreditation means your system is designed and installed to national standards.
Solar panels on your roof or on a ground-mounted frame turn sunlight into electricity for your home, farm or business. What you don’t use straight away can charge a battery for the evening, or be exported to the grid.
With the right design, solar can cover a large share of a household’s power use, cutting bills and protecting you from rising electricity prices.
Grid-Connected Battery Installation
A home battery stores the solar power you don’t use during the day so you can run the house on it at night, instead of buying power back from the grid. With backup set up, it can also keep essential circuits running during a blackout, which is handy on rural lines where outages are more common.
We install Tesla Powerwall, Sungrow, Fronius and Sigenergy battery systems and can add a battery to most existing solar systems. The federal Cheaper Home Batteries rebate comes straight off your quote.
Our Trusted Partners and Industry Accredited
Goulburn City Electrical holds SAA (Solar Accreditation Australia) Designer and Installer accreditation (S1175976), so we can design solar and battery systems to suit your property and energy use, not just sell a standard package.
We work with Tesla, Fronius, Sungrow and Sigenergy, all world-leading brands with strong Australian warranties and support. That means quality equipment and installers who are trained on it.
Tesla Powerwall: We are a Tesla Powerwall certified installer. Powerwall stores your solar energy for use at night, and with backup installed it detects a grid outage and switches your selected circuits over to battery power automatically. No fuel, no noise and no maintenance.
Fronius, Sungrow and Sigenergy are global leaders in inverters and battery storage, trusted for reliability and performance in Australian conditions. Their monitoring apps show exactly what your system is producing and using.
A home battery also gives you more resilience. If the grid goes down, or you live where supply can be unreliable, battery backup can keep your key appliances running*.

Solar and battery FAQs
It depends on the size of the system, your roof and the equipment. We only quote quality brands (Tesla, Fronius, Sungrow and Sigenergy) and give you one clear price with the federal solar rebate (STCs) already taken off. Send us a recent power bill and we’ll size a system to suit.
We size your system from your power bills: how much you use, and when. Most homes suit somewhere between 6.6 kW and 13 kW of panels, but rural properties, pools, air conditioning and electric cars can push that up. We’ll check your roof and switchboard and recommend what makes sense.
A typical home solar install takes one to two days. Adding a battery may add another day. We handle the paperwork and the network connection approval.
Yes. The more of your solar power you use in the home, the more you save, because every kWh you don’t buy from the grid saves you the full retail price. A battery lets you use more of your own solar at night.
Yes. Solar panels attract the federal Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme rebate (STCs), which comes off your quote up front. Batteries attract the federal Cheaper Home Batteries rebate, which drops on 1 January 2027 and every six months after that. NSW households may also get an incentive for joining a Virtual Power Plant.
